Anywho some friends and I went to Raleigh this weekend and it was a blast! We went to bars Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning and went on a Segway tour through downtown Raleigh. Now before you laugh. Yes it was history but riding a segway was so fun. My friend and I were the only two who had signed up for the tour so we got some extra riding in a braved the cold.
If you think I look a little scared its becuase I do...it is a weird feeling initially.Oakwood Cemetary..lots of history very cool
Segwayin down the road
We got to eat breakfast at cafe benelux, they make great waffles and you can pick your topping from syrup to nutella...
In other news I made homemade brownies today...new feat for me and they turned out pretty darn good.
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of cocoa powder (I used dark but you can use unsweetened if you prefer less intense choclate flavor)
1/2 cup butter
2 oz choclate ( I used semi sweet)
2 egg yolks
1 large egg
1/4 tsp salt
-choclate chips or walnuts if you want
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of cocoa powder (I used dark but you can use unsweetened if you prefer less intense choclate flavor)
1/2 cup butter
2 oz choclate ( I used semi sweet)
2 egg yolks
1 large egg
1/4 tsp salt
-choclate chips or walnuts if you want
1 cup sugar
Steps
1. mix cocoa powder together with flour
2. In a seperate bowl microwave butter and choclate for 45 seconds stirring every 15 sec.
3. Preheat oven to 350
4. Mix sugar, eggs, salt, choclate-butter mixture. Whisk them together.
5. Add egg mixture to flour mixture and stir until just bleneded
6. Add choclate chips or nuts. ( I recommend the chips I didnt add them but they definitley would have improved the yumminess.)
7. Pour batter into an 8x8 pan and cook for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean,
8. Let the brownies cool and enjoy with some vanilla fro-yo, ice cream, or all alone. Either way they are delicious!!!
