I've been ringing in the Holidays lately...my favorite way to do so includes christmas carols, baking, watching christmas movies (especially the ones from the 90's like Home Alone and the Santa Clause) elf, and oh yeah Shopping and crafting!!
My life right now.
Well, i haven't blogged in a while and i am gonna blame beign super busy and an amazing trip home this time haha. Last weekend I go to make the 5 hour drive home and spend thanksgiving with my family, friends, and puppy dogs. I am so glad I went home. The entire family was there and it was so good to see all my friends because I miss them so much!I also got to play with my puppy dogs!
Anywho I ate...alot and gained a good hearty 2lbs. Went midnight black friday shopping with mom for the first time ever...and it was some great deals but I was not a fan of staying up so late...not as dedicated as all those other crazy people who braved target and walmart.
I left sunday morning and came back to home. I spent most of my week running around like a crazy person for work and at the gym. Friday we got to go to the range, I shot my M-16 like a champ and qualified (praise the lord). That followed a 10 hour sitting period waiting for everyone else to shoot as well. Got home around 6:30 Friday and had dinner at a friends house. Saturday was amazing. I made some whole-wheat cookie bars with my Kitchen Aid mixer...( love it by the way). They were okay. My guy friends and I went to a gun show yesterday and I got daddy's Christmas present...haha and to even out the manliness we went to Cirque de Solei Quidam last night...it was absolutely amazing. I am in awe of what those people are conditioned to do . In between those two event my friends i work with had a BBQ. We all got together had some homemade pina coladas, grilled chicken, ribs, pasta salad, and much more. It was so nice to be able to hang out with everybody outside of work.
Today I had big plans to go to church, but my alarm didn't go off..grrr/ So i did a devotional and went to Wal-mart. I managed to spend too much money but got pretty much all of my Christmas decorating stuff done. Starting off on your own means you have nothing hah. I was even able to make a small simple craft.
The ribbon on the door. Walmart sells these ribbons and these glitter letters that are meant for stockings. I however got this light bulb above my head and thought oh hey why buy a wreath when I can break the mold and make a monogrammed bow! So i just attach the letter to the bow and voila! IT was under $10 as well.
On a sad note I seem to be unable to find my camera charger( i think i left in in Va) so my pictures are of lower quality this week.
I also went on a baking spree today and made magic cookie bars then mint chocolate chip cookies. Both recipes i found online at food.com. We will see how everyone at work likes them
Well I am off to make turkey tacos and have some friends over for dinner!
Maybe Rachel will blog soon
Stay Fabulous!
